The Green Room Lounge Lizard-last day

The Woody Pines, who just described their music as 'hyper jazz, ragtime, and a little rock & roll thrown in for kicks' are warming up in our tent for their Fingerlakes Unplugged set, and Locos Por Juana will be by later. Video forthcoming! Locos... played a set in the Dance Tent today and it was just as guitar driven as the last half of yesterday's Grandstand set that i was fortunate enough to be blown away by. They seemed better after sunset though! Right now I can hear Keith Secola and His Wild Band of Indians playing at the Grandstand, and its funny, they're playing a song they played the other day on the Infield Stage but they're playing it really sad today...this festival is almost over and people don't like to leave.
Vendors love doing this fest. I talked to Johnny Bolster, who works the stir-fried-pasta-making PASTA-FARI booth at various festivals all year and he said, "Grassroots has one of the greatest bunches of people, there's a lot of demographics, and I like that there's a little bit of an educational angle. I think its good that this year there aren't a million environmental issues being discussed, just the most important one. There are tables about hydrofracking and people can learn about that one issue." Leslie Goodrich, who runs her own booth of MIXED MEDIA art for sale, says that Grassroots is "one of the best festivals, it's awesome. Getting in and out is easy, it's so organized, other festivals this size might have 100 vendors (GR has about 20 non-food vendors). This is so community oriented, you get to know people and it really feels like a family." I wonder if they've ever accidentally used a urinal as a shelf? Seriously, it was a protrusion inside the porta potty and luckily I noticed its specific shape just before my drink touched the "shelf." More vendor comments upcoming. I need to take a walk around to see things close up.
